Como pueden ver en mi Curriculum Vitae, perdí el empleo en mi empresa anterior por su plan de despido y llevo en el paro desde hace un año. Sin embargo, a lo largo de este período he utilizado mis conocimientos de contabilidad en la empresa de mi padre. Esta experiencia ha asegurado que mantenga la habilidad práctica de la contabilidad y que además no haya perdido la costumbre de realizar una jornada laboral completa. Por lo tanto, me estimo con la preparación adecuada para enfrentar las responsabilidades que exige el puesto.

I should like to apply for the post of accountant as advertised in The Times of 23rd June.

As can be seen in my Curriculum Vitae, I was made redundant by my last company and have been unemployed for the past year. However, during this time I have been using my accountancy skills by helping at my father's business. This experience has ensured that my practical ability as an accountant has not diminished and neither has the habit of doing a full day's work. Therefore, I feel I have sufficient preparation to carry out the duties of the position on offer.
