Dear George Bush

My heart goes out to you in deep sympathy for the catastrophic events of 11 Sept. I am. however, also concerned for the lives of many other people who are liable to suffer as a result of a revengeful military strikes. 

Christian Aid workers have been devotedly helping the impoverished and long-suffering people of Afghanistan, for instance, and it seems quite incongruous that Christians should now contemplate being involved in their destruction and humiliation..

Islamic fundamentalists, it would seem, were involved in a vicious attack of your country; I pray that your response, as an example to the world, will be a truly Christian one.
