Dear Friend
Thank you very much for your donation of £10 towards Christian Aid's
drought relief appeal for Afghanistan. Obviously the situation has changed
dramatically since we launched the appeal and we have all been shocked and
saddened by the loss of life in the United States. However, the scale of the
humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan means we cannot turn our backs on the
innocent people who live there.
In response to the drought, Christian Aid partners continue to distribute food
through community groups, ensuring that the most vulnerable people are reached.
We are also working with the many displaced people within Afghanistan and those
who have left the country. If you wish to know the current situation with
Christian Aid's work in and around Afghanistan, visit our website at www.christian-aid.org.uk.
There is so much still to be done and the humanitarian crisis will only worsen
whilst military activity continues. With your support and that of many others
like you, Christian Aid can continue its work to reduce the human suffering.
On behalf of all the organisations Christian Aid is working with in
Afghanistan, thank you once again.
Yours sincerely
Gabrielle Fabri
