Thank you for your registration with The Telephone Preference Service (TPS). This is to confirm that the number you have registered is 01258 712123.

Now that you have registered, your telephone number will be added to The Telephone Preference Service register. This register is made available to those companies and organisations who are licensed with the TPS and who may promote their services or products by using the telephone; in this way they will know not to call you.

Your registration will take up to 28 days from the date of this letter to have an effect. From then on it will be unlawful under new Regulations* for anyone to make a direct marketing call to you (unless of course you have previously told them that you have no objection). Should you nevertheless continue to receive direct marketing calls, we can offer a complaint handling service. If you ever need to make use of the service write to us at the above address giving as a minimum the name of the company which made the call and the date and time of the call.

It is worth noting that registering with the TPS will not stop calls from market research organisations. If you want to stop these calls or any other non-direct marketing calls, you will need to contact the companies that make them directly.

If at any time you no longer wish to be registered under the TPS, just dial 08450700707 and select the cancel registration option. Otherwise, your number will remain registered unless you change your telephone number.

Remember too that if you yourself make any direct marketing calls - to Individuals (as defined in the Regulations) - you must make sure you do not call any numbers registered with the TPS.
