BA in Spanish and Latin American Studies for External Students

Having registered for this degree, you will know from page 7 of the Course Handbook that all literary and cultural courses are assessed through a combination of written examination and course work.

The course work element requires two compulsory essays to be written for each course. The submission date for the first essays is 1st of February 1997. Questions for these first essays are attached. If you have any academic queries about your essays please contact the Course Director at Birkbeck College. Otherwise I would be grateful if you could note the following administrative arrangements:

1. Two copies of each essay should be sent to:

2. We recommend that you keep a copy of each piece of Course work and proof of postage. If you wish to receive acknowledgement that your work has been received please enclose a stamped addressed postcard when you send it.

3. Please ensure you post your work in good time to arrive by the deadline date. Work that arrives after the 1st of February will not be taken into account for assessment purposes.

Questions for the second essays, which have to be submitted by 1 May, will be sent, by the end of February, to students who have submitted an examination entry form (the closing date for which is 24 January).
