How to use subject and object personal pronouns.

The basics - structure:

In English, we use the following words to refer to persons and things:

I (first person singular)
you (second person singular and plural)
he (third person singular, boy, man)
she (third person singular, girl, woman)
it (third person singular, thing, animal)
we (first person plural)
they (third person plural, people, things and animals).

These are called subject pronouns:

They do the action or are described by adjectives or other information.

Personal subject pronouns.
I You He She It We They	am are is is is are are	English. happy. from Spain.

These are called object pronouns:

They receive the action of a verb or a thing.

Personal object pronouns.
	This is for...	me. you. him. her. it. us. them.

Special uses of personal pronouns.

There is no formal use of you in English.

"Would you like to sit down" (talking to the Rector of a University).

"Do you want to sit down?" (talking to a child).

We use you for talking to one or more people.

All of you, come here!

You in the blue shirt, come here!

There is no masculine or feminine forms of the pronouns: you, it, we, they.

You are a girl.

You are a boy.

We are men.

We are women.
