Hola Melissa:

Ya sé que no tienes tiempo, pero me gustaría que respondieses a la carta que te mandé. Lo siento si te costó comprenderla. Si fue así dímelo y te escribiré cartas más cortas.

Bueno, en esta carta quería hablarte de la Feria que acabamos de tener en Sevilla. La feria es una fiesta que se celebra en todas las ciudades españolas durante una semana, pero en épocas distintas. La feria consiste en que durante una semana no hay colegio y los adultos no trabajan. Entonces la gente se va a unos descampados que hay en las afueras de las ciudades, donde se encuentran los tiovivos, los coches de choque y otras muchas atracciones. También hay una especie de bares donde la gente come, bebe y baila.

Te preguntarás por qué te escribo esta carta. Te escribo porque lo he pasado muy bien con mis amigos en la feria y quería decírtelo. Además, ¿podrías decirme qué fiestas importantes hay en Estados Unidos?. Me gustaría saberlo, porque me han dicho que en EE.UU. los niños tenéis muy pocas vacaciones. ¿Es eso cierto?.

Bueno, espero que te encuentres bien. Una cosa, me gustaría que me escribieses cartas más largas.

Hi, Melissa

I know you don't have much time but I would love to have a reply back about the letter I sent you. I'm sorry if it was a bit difficult to understand. If that was the case, tell me and I'll write shorter letters.

Well, in this letter I want to tell you about the Fair that we have just had in Seville. The Fair is a festival that all the Spanish cities celebrate for a week but at different times. The Fair means that for a week there is no school and the adults don't work. Then the people go to some open spaces in the outskirts of the cities, where you can find merry-go-rounds, dodgem cars and a lot of other fair rides. There are also a type of bars where the people eat, drink and dance.

You'll be wondering why I an writing this letter to you. I'm writing because I had a really good time with my friends at the Fair and I wanted to tell you about it. Also, could tell me about important festivals in the United States? I'd like to know about them because I'e been told that in the States there aren't many holidays. Is that true?

Well, I hope you are well. One more thing; I'd really like you to write longer letters.
