Querido Simon:
Recibí tu carta esta misma mañana y, como siempre, la leí por encima; las últimas líneas primero por temor de que vayas a decirme que ya hayamos ido demasiado lejos en nuestra relación, que las cartas son demasiado frecuentes, que ya me estoy pasando al llamarte a casa el otro día. Una vez satisfecha que no me vayas a contar cosas negativas, puedo sentarme con tranquilidad para saborear tus palabras.
Esta mañana tu carta me ha llenado de ilusión; hace ya algunos días que esperaba que me contaras tales cosas. Yo también ando algo despistada sin dar mucha importancia a mi trabajo, ni siquiera a mi familia o amigos. ¡Qué cosas tan bonitas dijiste acerca de mí! Espero mucho no decepcionarte cuando nos veamos de nuevo. ¡Ay, qué nervios!
Tontito, no soy tan seria y cabal como tú piensas, Simon, y no te preocupes por esa burbuja; no se ha roto en absoluto y espero que crezca cada vez más fuerte y bonita.

Dear Simon
I received your letter this very morning and, as always, I just glossed over it; the last lines first, fearing that you would tell me that we had gone too far in our relationship, that our letters were too frequent, that I was going too far by calling you the other day. Only once I was satisfied you weren't going to say anything negative, could I sit down and take my time over your words.
This morning your letter filled me with excitement; I have been hoping for a few days now that you would say those things. I am also a bit day-dreamy and don't think much about work not even my family or friends. What lovely things you said about me! I hope I don't disappoint you when we see each other again. I'm so nervous!
You silly thing, I'm not as serious and sensible as you seems to think, Simon, and don't worry about that bubble; no way has it broken and I hope it grows stronger and more beautiful.
