Here you will find a very large inventory of Barney Videos and Disney Spanish language videos and software. Learning the Spanish language is becoming an increasingly important necessity in North American and, more recently, in British society too. One major reason for this is the consolidation of immigration in these countries leading to an increase in Hispanic run companies and organizations or companies taking on Spanish speaking staff. In many parts of the United States and Britain, schools and communities are receiving a greater proportion of South Americans requiring an adaptation on behalf of the host communities to ensure greater harmony and security for the future.

Learning Spanish for English speaking children is a positive, fun and rewarding experience both for the child and the parents, who can help them in this adventure in language learning. Young children are very receptive to stimulating materials and acquire new Spanish vocabulary, expressions and phrases quickly and effortlessly.

However, it is important to remember that language learning (for everybody) but especially for young children must be fun; where Spanish games and enjoyable activities, Spanish story books, songs, audio books, video etc. are the key materials used for learning. It is essential to ensure that when a child embarks on learning Spanish that he or she does not become negative, that there is no feeling of: "Oh, oh, it's class time - fun's over!". If that happens at an early age, the child may be turned off the idea of language learning for life!

English Spanish Link is dedicated to promoting the learning of these two major world languages and we seek to promote ways which make learning English and Spanish more memorable, efficient, effective and especially in the case of the child and his / her first contact with Spanish / English - enjoyable and fun.

For this reason, I have compiled (and will be adding more as time goes by) a number of sites who offer Spanish educational materials for children of all types: basic Spanish language courses, toys, puzzles, videos, bilingual books in Spanish and songs where children can learn the Spanish lyrics

Many of these didactic Spanish language materials also require the parent to participate as a "teacher" or perhaps better; a "guide", who motivates the child, questions, helps the child to discover and learn but in such a way that the child feels he / she is in command and is sharing the activity with the parent rather than being taught.
