Ejercicio - primer o segundo condicional.

1) If it (rains/rained) tomorrow, we (will stay/would stay) at home. (There has been a lot of rain recently. This month is the wettest in years.)

2) If Mary (got/gets) to work early, she (will have/would have) time to finish the report. (Mary never gets to work early. She's always late and doesn't finish her work on time.)

3) Small shops (will close/would close) if so many people (went/go) to hypermarkets. (Very few people are going to small shops these days. They prefer to go to the big hypermarkets.)

4) We (will visit/would visit) the new zoo if it (does not rain/did not rain) . (Again, there has been a lot of rain recently. It's another very wet month!)

5) If you (can take/could take) the top off, you (would get/will get) the water out. (You can't get the top of the bottle off because it is stuck and won't move.)

6) If you (walked/walk) down this street, you (will find/would find) the post office. (Unfortunately, the street is closed for roadworks.)

7) The paella (will not burn/would not burn) if you (turned down/turn down) the heat. (Good advice! It's not difficult to turn down the heat.)

8) If we (left/leave) now, we (will be/would be) home in time to see the football match. (Your car has broken down and there are no buses at this time.)

9) If Mary (does not like/did not like) the present, John (will buy/would buy) something different. (John has bought Mary a handbag and Mary loves handbags.)

10) My daughter (would finish/will finish) university by 2017 if she (started/starts) this year. (It seems the daughter is ready to start this year.)
